Long-Time Resident Dies
Everett J. Swinyer, 79, of Sheridan, died Tuesday at Memorial hospital. A retired Burlington railroad employee, he had resided in the Sheridan area 45 years.
He was born in Burlington, Vt., March 20, 1872, He was married to Carrie M. Nelson June 1, 1897, in Gibbon, Neb., and lived in Baker, Ore., before moving to Sheridan.
Mr. Swinyer is survived by the widow, four daughters, Mrs. Edna Cotton, Mrs. Macy Smith, Mrs. Ruth Smith and Mrs Dorothy Pedula; two brothers, Abraham Swinyer, Kearney, Neb., 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p. m., from Champion's Funeral home.
