Plainview News Nov 1975 Mrs. Anna Edwards, 94
Mrs. Anna Edwards, 94, a lifelong Plainview area resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 12 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Wabasha. She had been a resident of the Hill crest Nursing and Retirement Home here for the past 18 months.
She was born Oct. 5, 1881, in Plainview and married Arthur Irish in 1911. He died in 1931. She married Clayton Edwards in 1941, and he died in 1957. Her husband operated the Edwards Machine Shop here.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Rebekah Lodge here.
Surviving are one son, Leon Irish of Nelson, Wis.; two stepsons, Robert Edwards of Owatonna and William of Minneapolis; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren preceded her in death.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Plainview Church of Christ with Mr. James Lohman officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Dale Higgins, David Hammel, Steve Vail, Blain Austad, Glenn Irish and Jack Edwards. Honorary pallbearers were Ralph and David Axley, Robert Schwering, Donald Cravath, Ivan Smith and Gerald Lovejoy.
The funeral arrangements were made by Johnson-Schriver Funeral Home, Plainview.
