Lillis was born in Wauconda July 30, 1873. The daughter of Cynthia Warner and William Stone, on March 16 1892, she was married to Squire Sheldon of Avon township. They lived on a farm in Avon Township, until the death of her husband in 1910. She was left with six small children. She worked hard to support them. Lillis remarried in 1912 to Sebastian Wolff.
