Cynthia's first husband was John L. Saltmarsh; married 1862 in Lake County. Their children were Hattie and Ida. John Saltmarsh passed away when his daughters were very young. Cynthia remarried for a second time in 1870 to William P. Stone. Their children were Lillis, Minnie, Vedder, and Everett.

Died: At her home, Sunday morning Mrs. Wm. Stone, after an illness of about four months. In January Mrs. Stone was attacked with rheumatism and was compelled to take to her bed. Since that time she has had very poor health, and unable to gain. Death came to her as a sweet relief to her untold sufferings. The funeral was held Tuesday from the M. E. church, Rev. Gee officiating and interment in the Wauconda cemetery.

Mrs. William Stone
Mrs. William Stone died at her home near Wauconda, Sunday, May 22, 1904, aged 61 years and 29 days. The cause of her death was inflammatory rheumatism. She was born in Ohio, April 23, 1843, and came to Illinois when 7 years of age. Mrs. R. H. Grantham of Cary is a step-daughter. The funeral was held Tuesday of last week.
