"William Anderson died at his residence in Shelby township at three o'clock a.m. Monday, of heart trouble, aged fifty two years. He will be buried Friday at two o'clock p.m. D.B. Wilson & Son, funeral directors."
William was the son of Charles Austin Anderson(1825-1892) and Hester Carolyn (Kitchen) Anderson(1831-1892).
William married Aquilla Harding on September 25, 1887 in Shelby County, IN. William and Aquilla were the parents of three children:
Mary C. "Carrie" Anderson b 7-2-1888
Charles Henry Anderson b 7-8-1889
Emma Anderson b 11-28-1891
Although in 1906, records were becoming more consistent, there is no record of William's death in the Shelby County health department books. If he was recorded as such, we could find his date of birth and place of burial. William's birth date is taken from the 1900 census, in which his birth is given as August 1854.
There is no legible stone in the Asbury Cemetery. I am presuming that William was buried there alongside his wife, Aquilla, who was buried there 5 years previously.
Perhaps a search of the D.B. Wilson & Son funeral home records will reveal more information. There is the possibility of Asbury Cemetery records also.
My relationship is that William was my maternal gg-grandfather.
