Injured Man
Leo S. Bailey, Britt [sic]
In Serious Condition
Mason City police announced Thursday that a man discovered unconscious Tuesday evening after a fall down a flight of stairs on S. Federal has been identified through fingerprints as Leo S. Bailey of Britt.
Bailey's condition was reported by Park hospital attendants Thursday morning as slightly improved, but he is still in a serious condition. He suffered skull injuries in the fall.
Police said Bailey has a wife at Britt, but no other known relatives. The Hancock county sheriff at Garner was notified of the case and contacted Mrs. Bailey.

to Skull Injuries
Leo F. Bailey, 38, Britt, died in a local hospital Friday at 7:15 of skull injuries received in a fall here Tuesday.
Bailey was discovered unconscious at the foot of a flight of stairs at 301 S. Federal Tuesday evening and did not regain consciousness. His identity was not established until Thursday through police fingerprint records.
He is survived by his wife and a stepson, both of whom live in Britt. He had been employed as a mechanic at the Britt hemp plant.
The body was taken to Britt for funeral services and burial.
