She grew up in Kansas City and moved to Oklahoma City in 1937. She was a longtime employee of the US Government, retiring from Social Security Administration in 1986. She loved to sew and quilt in her spare time.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marion, one son Zane and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include three daughters, Mickey Harjo and husband Richmond of Ft. Gibson, Donna Taylor of Oklahoma City and Cindy Littlejohn and husband Larry of Oklahoma City. Also by seven grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. Graveside rites will be held at 2pm on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Smith Cemetery, Moore, Oklahoma.
