Oral F. Shirey was born May 27, 1900 in Oakfield, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Rosella Shirey. He passed away at his home in Grand Island May 28, 1967, at the age of 67 years.

He was a member of the Palmer Church of Christ.

Mr. Shirey served in the Second World War in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 53 at Grand Island.

In 1948 he moved to Grand Island and his last employment was with the V. C. Wrenn & Son Construction Company.

He is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Inez Ward of St. Paul, Mrs. Grace Prowett of Central City, Mrs. Nancy Butler of Palmer, Mrs. Muriel Shaver of Lebanon, Oregon, Mrs. Mildred Reils of Central City and Mrs. Dorothy Morris of La Habra, Calif.; seven nieces and 3 nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
