Helen (Croll) Ascher, 92, of this town, and formerly of 137 Bellevue Ave., Springfield, died Monday at a local nursing home. She lived in Springfield since 1939 and moved here in 1991. She was a member of Hadassah, Kodimoh Synagogue and its sisterhood, Brandeis Women, the Jewish Nursing Home of Western Massachusetts and the Amit Women. Her husband, Alfred Ascher, died in 1981. She leaves a daughter, Hannah Levy of Framingham; and four grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted this afternoon in City of Homes Cemetery , Springfield. Harold R. Ascher & Son Memorial Chapel is in charge. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
