Born in Hartford, she lived in Springfield from 1936. She was a past president of Hadassah, and a former member of Kodimoh Synagogue and its Sisterhood.
She was also a member of Brandeis Women, Amit Women, and the Jewish Nursing Home of Western Massachusetts.
Her husband, Nathan Ascher, died in 1972.
She leaves a sister, Helen Ascher of Springfield, and two nieces, Joyce Mayer of Longmeadow and Hannah Levy of Framingham.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday morning in City of Homes Cemetery . Harold R. Ascher & Son Memorial Chapel is in charge, and memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah, in care of Grant, 597 Allen St., Springfield, 01108.
