Graveside services for Mrs. Ellis (Maxine) Woods, 61 were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday April 19, in South Bethal Cemetery, at Braggs, with Lucille Lang officiating. Born May 23, 1927 at Warner, Mrs. Woods died Monday, April 17, in Hillcrest Hospital Tulsa. A home health care provider, she had lived in the Haskell area for about 25 years. Two grandchildren precede her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Ellis of the home; three sons, Wayne of Boynton, Winson and Jerry both of Haskell
five daughters, Barbara Holt of Broken Arrow, Debbie Allison, Ethel Stockstill, Peggy Mashburn, all of Haskell and Shirley Cline of Muskogee; three brothers, Wilson Slavens of Mazie, Allen Slavens of Wagoner and V. D. Taylor of Coweta, Edna Faulkner of Arkansas City, Kansas, Eva Mae Webb of San Pablo, California, Nadine Graham of
Old Pinole California, and Gracie McClure of Coweta ; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
