Marvin M. Bettis, 87, of Proctor, AR, passed away Wednesday August 18, 2010 at Willowbend Care Center in Marion, AR. He was retired owner of Bettis Farm Equipment Company and Bettis Axle Company and was an equipment locator for overseas shipping; was of the Baptist faith, a Mason and a Shriner. Mr. Bettis was preceded in death by three sons, Louie Bettis, Jimmy Bettis and Mike McElroy and his daughter, Sue Jackson. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alma Bettis of Proctor, AR; son, Lloyd McKinney of Virginia Beach, VA; three daughters, Kathy McCullough of Hernando, MS, Lynn Marner of Reno, NV and June Cullum of Texas; three brothers, Alfred Bettis of Royal, AR, Arthur Bettis of West Memphis, AR and Algie Bettis of Proctor, AR; four sisters, Opal Upton of Hot Springs, AR, Octivia Wagner of Royal, AR, Lorene West of Rio Del, CA and Jerry Lewis of Colorado Springs, CO; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. The visitation will be Sunday August 22, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, AR with the service Monday August 23, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel and interment following the service in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR.
