Mrs. James A. Burton Of Palestine Dies Saturday
Mrs. Fanny Burton, aged 68, wife of James A. Burton of Palestine, died last Saturday afternoon at 4:20 o'clock at her home at Palestine after an illness of two months from paralysis.

Mrs. Burton was a member of the Baptist church, having united with the Shiloh Baptist church at the age of thirteen and later transferring her membership to the Bethesda Baptist church at Palestine.

Surviving are her husband, James A. Burton; six dauaghters, Mrs. B. W. Mandigo of Portsmouth, Virginia, Mrs. Georgia Smith of Clarksburg, Mrs. Blanche Hendrickson of Pennsboro, Mrs. O. W. Streitenberger of St. Marys, Mrs. Charles Culver of Retlaw, Canada, and Mrs. Cecil Ayers of Elizabeth; four sons, Kenneth of Warren, Ohio, Carl of Detroit, Mich., Woodrow of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Robert at home; also several grandchildren with numerous other relatives and hosts of friends.

Funeral services were held from the family residence at Palestine Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. A. F. Monroe, assisted by the Rev. Kelcie Board, officiating.

A very large crowd of relatives and friends were present to pay a last tribute of respect to Mrs. Burton.

Interment was made in the Palestine cemetery with Funeral Director W. M. Pomroy in charge.
