Nealie Busbin Fletcher, 88, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Friday, August 20, 2004, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, August 22, 2004, at Macedonia Baptist Church, Irwin County, with the Rev. Randall Gay and the Rev. David Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Eureka Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ocilla from 7:00 until 9:00, Saturday evening.
Mrs. Fletcher was born February 18, 1916, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Henry H. and Tyus Veal Busbin and the widow of Floyd Y. Fletcher. She was a homemaker and lived in Irwin County all of her life. She graduated from Mystic High School in 1933. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and a former member of the Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Melissa Jo and Wayne Hightower, Ashburn; two grandchildren and spouses: Kippy Jo and Dwane Lewis, Ashburn, Philip and Amy Hightower, Chula; two great grandchildren: Lacey Jo and Olivia Anne Lewis, both of Ashburn; three brothers: Joe and Franklin Busbin, both of Chula and Donald Busbin, Ocilla; five sisters: Clara Jordan, Tampa, FL, Jewel Robinson and Bernice Duckworth, both of Warner Robins, Jackie Hampton and Norma Baker, both of Chula; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnson, Jessie and T.Y. Busbin and four sisters, Florence Bishop, Mae Arnold, Mildred Hester and Eunice Busbin.
