Mary was born on April 10, 1925 in Waterloo, Georgia to the late Tyus Etta Veal and Henry Busbin. Mary was a devoted church member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years where she served faithfully with all her soul, mind, and strength. Mary truly had a heart to serve and she lead a local girl scout club for many years. Often times Mary could be found in the outdoors gardening for which she had a true passion. In fact, she loved gardening so much she was a member of the gardening club. She will forever be remembered for her contagious smile and the love she had for everyone.
There awaiting her at the gates of heaven was her beloved husband of 72 years, Walter Duckworth.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Patricia Vanderwarker (Keith), Robbie Goldsmith (Ira), Glenda Simpson (Kenneth), Mary Elizabeth Lanier (Bill), Dawn Parish (John), Walter Duckworth III (Lisa); 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and her two beloved sisters, Jackie Hampton, and Norma Baker.
