Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 1973 at the Najim Funeral Home for Mr. Earl Francis, 65, who died on Jan. 11 at Farmington.

A mechanic, Mr. Francis lived on Route 1, Fredericktown. He was born on Oct. 9, 1907 in Madison County, the son of the late Ed and Safrona Ellen Francis.

Mr. Francis married the former Ruby Genevieve, on May 8, 1954, at Perryville and she survives. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.

He is survived by the following stepchildren: Talmadge Holliday, Fredericktown; Gerald Holliday, Farmington and Melvin Holliday, Valley Lake.

Surviving brothers and sisters include: Everett, Leo and Jesse Francis, Fredericktown; Anna, Noah and Melvin Francis, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Cassell Francis, Farmington.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Francis was preceded in death by two sisters, May and Myrtle Francis.

Burial was in Marcus Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Clyde Bess officiating.

Pallbearers were Kevin Francis, Daniel Francis, Don White, Kenneth Lee, Paul Halpin and Stanley Halpin.
