Chester W. Evanski, 60, of Swansea, Ill., born Nov 12, 1938, in Sumpter, Mich., died Wednesday, Oct 13, 1999, at Barnes - Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Mr. Evanski was a pilot and belonged to the Scott Air Base Aeroclub.
Mr. Evanski was preceded in death by his parents, Stanislaus and Dorothy (Nowak) Evanski; two brothers, Richard and James Evanski; and a sister Beatrice Ackron.
Surviving are his wife, Shelby, nee Magaha, Evanski; two daughters, Denise (Terry) Behrle. of St. Ann, Mo., and Rhonda (Bauer) Evanski of Belleville, Ill; a sister, Dorothy Snyr of Romulus, Mich; a brother, Robert Evanski of Belleville, Mich., two granddaughters, Lauren and Kelly Behrle; a dear close friend and future son-in-law, Michael Warner; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband, father, a best friend to all and the "Coolest Papa" to Lauren and Kelly.
Memorials may be made to the International Myeloma Foundation or to the American Cancer Society.
