Mrs. Ewart, a lifelong resident of St Joseph, died Tuesday evening at a local hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Ewart; two daughters, Joyce Mackley of Napa, Calif., and Martha Kretzer of St Joseph; two sons, Martin R. Turner and Glenn S. Turner, both of St Joseph; two step-daughters, Judy Jackson of Union Star, Mo., and Connie Kelly of Savannah, Mo.; one stepson, Jim Ewart of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Lloyd Bird of Easton, Mo., and Delbert Bird of St Joseph; four sisters, Jewell Foster and Pearl McClellan, both of St Joseph, Alice Wells of Roswell, N.M., and Bertha Liechti of Wathena, Kan.; and seven grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren."
