The wife of former US Army officer Maj. Thomas Davis, Mrs. Davis, nee Anne Marie Lawton, died at age 86. Born into a military family, she was the daughter of West Point graduate and Congressional Medal of Honor winner Louis B. Lawton, cited for heroism during the Boxer Rebellion in China. Her mother was the former Theresa Kelsey of Auburn. A longtime resident of nearby Skaneateles, NY, Mrs. Davis was survived by her husband, who joined her in death less than three months later. The couple were predeceased by their two children, both sons: Lt. Lawton Davis, USMA Class of 1943, was killed at the Battle of the Bulge, and Thomas F. Davis, a scholar and journalist, died on a field trip to Mexico in 1955.
