Martin Draper died at his home Thursday [sic], aged thirty-eight years, six months, and thirteen days. He was born in Fayette county, Ohio, Jan. 10, 1862. He was a man who was beloved by all who knew him, a man of high ideals and correct habits, and as he was ambitious and an honest toiler he proved himself to be a worthy husband and father. He was united in marriage to Miss Clara Mix, of Paulding county, Ohio, Jan. 24, 1888. To this union were born four children, one of which has preceded the now happy father. Regardless of the pain and suffering to which all humanity is heir, our departed brother had his peace with the eternal Parent and enjoyed a happy Christian experience before he passed away. He stated in the presence of his friends who gathered about his bedside that he was prepared to meet his Creator and seemed happy in the thought that he soon would be the possessor of the crown he so justly earned. Father, mother, wife, three children, five sisters, and three brothers remain to mourn the loss of one so dear to them.
