Funeral services for Mrs. Alice p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1950 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1950 in the Belldeau Baptist church near Hessmer, with Rev. L.C. Smith of Pineville officiating, assisted by Rev. Cecil Webb, pastor of the South Side Mission of Marksville. Interment was in the Belldeau cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Dauzat, 68, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Elmore Lacheney at Hessmer, Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1950. She is survived by her husband, Maurice P. Dauzat of Hessmer, five sons, Milton, Edlye, Abel, Nester, and Anthony Dauzat, all of Hessmer, five daughters, Mrs. Lachaney of Hessmer, Mrs. Dennis Dauzat of Fifth Ward, La., Mrs. Clifford Dauzat of Alexandria, Mrs. Hugh Evans of Hessmer, and Mrs. Edison Guillot of Hessmer, six brothers, Louis Vead of Monroe, Lonnis and Henry Vead of Hamburg, Simon Vead of Big Bend, La., Mitchell Vead of New Orleans, and Joseph Veal of New Orleans, four sisters, Mrs. Celia Nascar of Hessmer, Mrs. Alonozo Couvillion of Hamburg, Mrs. Verna Mayeux of Hamburg and Miss Lucille Vead of New Orleans.
