Grandview --- Funeral service's for Charles Anthony who passed away at his home in Fredonia Sunday morning were held from the Grandview Community church Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Dean Buster of Marston, Ill, in charge.
The pallbearers were Bert Thompson, Herbert Gipple, Bert Zimmerman, Charles Stocke, Bert Dulgar and John Biek. The flower attendants were Marie Rathjen, Mrs. Walter Humiston and Mrs. Noah Wilson.
Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Gipple sang "Will There Be Any Stars in My Crown?" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," with Mrs. Mayme Gast accompanying.
Charles Anthony, son of Thomas J. and Hattie(Hannah) Craddock Anthony, was born in Muscatine county, March 27, 1868 and died Feb. 27.
Dec. 14, 193(1903?), he married Miss Mary Rummery, and nine children were born to this union, one son Fay preceding him in death. Besides his wife he is survived by the following children: Glen of Bettendorf, Fred of Rock Island, Lewis of Moline, Carl of Grandview, Mrs. Thelma Solomon of Conesville, Mrs. Mabel Findley of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Helen Block and Clyde, at home; also two brothers, William and Alonzo, of Wapello.
