On September 1, 1900 Frank married Grace Marie Herndon in Waco, McLennan, Texas. His and Grace's first boy was born May 23, 1901 and the second son, Samuel Victor was born January 20, 1906.
In Feb 1910 Frank B Jr was born and Frank Bird Sr. was now age 32 and was an owner of a furniture store. On Oct 28, 1911 their one year old son Frank B Jr died.
By 1920 He and Grace now have two more sons, Robert Prescott and Elbert Isadore. Frank has changed occupations again and is shown as a checker in a laundry store.
Sometime after 1920 Frank and his family set out for Colorado. Frank goes back to his original occupation of being a "Railroad man". He is working as a brakeman learning the skill of being an railroad engineer.
On Nov 20, 1926 Frank Bird is killed when the weight of the train engine on a rain weakend tressel caused the tressel to collapse. The engine plunged off the tressel and crushed Frank.
