Gordon Ezra Faulkner, 95, of Japton died May 26, 2008, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Huntsville. He was born June 26, 1912, in Asher to Roscoe and Nannie Viola Wood Faulkner.

He was a farmer and a member of Japton Church of Christ for many years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Vassie Eubanks Faulkner, and a daughter, Lynice Faye Faulkner.

Survivors include a son, Leary Faulkner of Japton; a sister, Rosie Edens of Huntsville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville, online at www.brashearsfuneralhome.net. The Rev. Jack Harriman will officiate. Burial will be in the Grose Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Paul Eubanks, Calvin Watkins, Alvin Watkins, Leland Watkins, Chester Glenn and Steve Tackett.
