Funeral services were held at 10:30am today (Monday) in Crain Funeral Home, Newton, with burial in Brockville Cemetery, rural Newton.
Mr. Shanks was born Oct. 10, 1902 in Jasper County, son of Henry and Maude (Frederick) Shanks. He was a retired Texaco worker in Lockport after 38 years and a World War II veteran.
Surviving are his brother, Clone Shanks; sisters, Ellen Price, Hazel Williams, and Cleda Else. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. (Thank you Debbie, findagrave member #47002777)
