Obit #1)Clarence E. Adams, 90, resident of Cushing for 23 years, died Saturday in the St. Paul Hospital.

Mr. Adams was born June 3, 1875 in Merrick County, a son of John and Mary Adams. He was married to Alma Petersen on Feb. 27, 1938 at Grand Island. The couple farmed in Howard County until retirement in 1942 when they moved into Cushing.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Harding, and Mrs. Marie Moore, Modesto, Calif; three sons, Orville, Canby, Ore, Kenneth, California, and Denton Adams, Wendell, Idaho; five step-daughters, two step-sons, 29 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Obit #2)Clarence E. Adams, son of John and Mary Adams was born in Merrick County on June 3, 1875. He closed his eyes to this life on Saturday August 7, 1965 at a St. Paul hospital at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 4 days.

In 1902 he was married to Flossie Elliott and to this union were born six children: Marie Moore and Juanita Hearty, both of Modesto, California; Orville of Canby, Oregon, Kenneth of Los Angeles and Denton of Wendell, Idaho.

He was married to Alma Petersen on February 27, 1937 at Grand Island. The couple farmed in Howard County until retirement in 1942, when they moved into Cushing.

Surviving are his wife, Alma, two daughters, three sons, seven step-children, sixteen grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

He was a faithful husband, loving father and a good neighbor. Preceding him in death were an infant son, his parents, four sisters and four brothers.
