Clarence W. Amason
Clarence W. Amason, 62, of Mize died Saturday, February 23 at Magee General Hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 24 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Jones. Rev. Giles Hankins, Dr. W. E. Green and Rev. Carl Underhill officiating, Interment followed at Sharon Cemetery under the direction of Mims Mitchell Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vernelle Amason of Mize, three daughters, Mrs. George Jordan, Jackson; Mrs. .Clara Pope, Forest and Mrs. Johnnie Mae MrMillian, Mize and a son, H. D. Amason, also of Mize.
Other survivors include his father, Dallas Amason, Mize; a brother, Dennis Amason, Shaw; two sisters, Mrs. Pollie Sellers, Magee and Mrs. Cary Mangum, Gulfport; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
