H. D. Amason, 65, a retired farmer, died Saturday, October 3 of heart failure and renal failure at his family residence in Mize.
Services were held on Monday, October 5 at Mims Mitchell Chapel in Magee with burial in Sharon Cemetery in Magee.
Mr. Amason was a native of Smith County and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a member of Mize Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Ann B. Amason of Mize; two sons, Dale Amason and Mark Amason both of Mize; one daughter, Sheila Hammack of Jackson; two sisters, Clara Pope of Forest and Ruby Jordan of Mize; and six grandchildren.
