OBIT: SIMON SEXTON DIES AT HOME OF SON-

Simon Sexton, a retired farmer, died suddenly at 11:15 O'clock this morning at the home of his son, J. M. Sexton, 3200 Prairie Avenue, where he had been staying for the past few months. Death was due to a heart aliment. Mr. Sexton was 86 years old.

Mr. Sexton was born April 10, 1858, in Maytown, Ky., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Sexton. He came to Illinois about 40 years ago and had resided in this state since that time, with the exception of a few years when he lived in Brazil, Indiana. He married Elizabeth Lee Dennis about 57 years ago. She died three years ago.

Surviving besides Mr. Sexton are three other sons, R. F. Sexton of Somerville, Indiana, O. J. Sexton of Terre Haute (Indiana), P. T. Sexton of Louisville, Ky; a daughter, Mrs. Edward Watson of Indianapolis, Indiana; several grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr Sexton was a member of the Methodist Church at Frenchburg, Ky., and Odd Fellow Lodge.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 O'clock at Thursday afternoon at the Mitchell Funeral Home, with Dr. A. Mont Massey officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery at Charleston.
