OBIT: Elizabeth Hackney-

Mrs. Elizabeth Hackney, 74, of 3133 Ohio Ave., died at 10:30pm Thursday in Middletown Hospital, where she had been confined for two months. Mrs. Hackney was ill for about three years.

She was the wife of Robert Hackney and had lived in Middletown for the past 28 years, making many friends during this time. Mrs. Hackney was an active member of the Crawford St. Church of God as long as her health permitted, and was well thought of by all who knew her. At one time she was active in the War Mothers organization.

Besides her husband, she leaves one son, Charles of Cleveland; five daughters, Mrs. Butler Rothwell of Frenchburg, Ky; Mrs. Harold Hawkins of River Rouge, Mich.; Mrs. Linnie Hoppe, Mrs. Amanda Neveauz, and Mrs. Minnie Gilbert, all of this city; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Riggs Funeral Home, where friends may call after 2pm Saturday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
