Death Claims Pioneer Woman
Mrs. Ezra Phelps died at the Soda Springs Hospital Sunday morning at ten o’clock, following an operation for cancer of the stomach that she had undergone a few days before.
Mrs. Phelps was 54 years of age and had resided in Bear Lake County all her life, coming to Montpelier when a child from Cache County, Utah. Besides her husband she is survived by the following children: Homer Phelps of Alton; Mrs. Naomi Jensen, Reed, Hugh and Hawley Phelps of Montpelier.
The remains were brought to this city Sunday evening, and funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at 11 o’clock from the Second Ward L. D. S. Chapel. Interment was made in the Montpelier Cemetery.

Mrs. Ezra J. Phelps, well known resident of Bear Lake county, and wife of Ezra J. Phelps, rancher of Sheep Creek, died in a Soda Springs hospital Sunday, after having undergone an operation for the relief of cancer of the stomach. Besides a husband, Mrs. Phelps is survived by a number of children.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Second Ward chapel and interment was in the city cemetery.
