Funeral services for Pauline W. Speckart Ludwig of Canton, were held Friday November 8, 1963, in the First Baptist church in LaGrange, in charge of Rev. Carl Bradt, pastor of the Methodist church. Music was furnished by Rev. Wayne Masters with Mrs. Elsie McPike at the organ. Pallbearers were grandsons Ralph Ludwig, Jr., James Ludwig, Jr., C. W. Ludwig, Paul Feldkamp, Doinald Feldkamp, and Donald Farr. Interment in the Midway cemetery in the family lot. Pauline Speckart was born in Quincy, Ill., on September 3rd, 1884, the daughter of Charles G. and Anna Gruber Speckart and was baptized as an infant in a Methodist church at Quincy, Ill. She departed this life November 6, 1953, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Russell Farr, at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 3 days. She was married to Charles Ludwig June 22, 1904. To this union were born five sons and four daughters.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, 2 granddaughters, 1 sister and 2 brothers. Surviving are : four sons, Charles of Monreo City; James and Ralph of LaGrange and Julian of Colorado Springs; 4 daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Feldkamp and Mrs. Helen Eisenbeiss of LaGrange; Mrs. Mildred Farr, Ewing; Mrs. Leora DeWitt of Canton, and 3 nieces.
