Funeral services for Virgil C Allison Jr., 44, were held at Hooper & Huddleston today at 10:00 a.m. with Rev James Taylor, pastor of First Baptist Church of Monterey, officiating.
Mr. Allison was the son of Mrs. Mary Anna Tipton of Monterey and the late Virgil C Allison. He was a native of Putnam County. He died suddenly in the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Nashville on Saturday.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Pugh Allison of Crossville; 3 brothers, Joe P Allison of Deland, Fl.; John R Allison of Cookeville and Billy Allison of Sewanee.
Burial was in the Cookeville City Cemetery.
