Mrs. Bertha E. Wehling, aged 89, passed away Monday evening, January 1, 1962, at 3:45 a.m. at the Atteberry Nursing home in Washburn, where she had been a patient for five years.
She was born February 26, 1872 near Varna, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Quiram. She was married to Albert Wehling who passed away in 1928. She is survived by a son, Erwin Wehling of Varna; and a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Schoof, of Varna; and four grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Emma Arndt of Toluca, IL.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Varna and burial was made in the church cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday evening at the Pries Funeral Home in Lacon, IL.
