He was present or accounted for until he was captured at Kingston, Tennessee on November 25, 1863. He was forwarded to Louisville, Kentucky on December 4, 1863 and transferred to Johnson's Island yankee prison, Ohio on December 5, 1863. He was released from Johnson's Island on June 13, 1865.
