Lebanon paper/ Archibald Boyd Rites Held Today Retired Farmer Dies at the Age of 89.
Funeral services for Archibald Stewart Boyd, 89 years of age, who passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ellen Wills, 410 North Jameson street, Saturday afternoon, following an extended illness, were held this morning at 10 o'clock at Brown's Wonder church with the Rev. W. P. Kibby officiating. Burial was in Brown's Wonder cemetery.
Mr. Boyd was born in Carroll county, Virginia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Boyd. He was twice married, the first marriage being to Daithula A. Dickerson on November 29, 1858 and the second to Margaret McKinsey in 1881. Both are deceased.
The following children survive Mrs. Susie Lawhead of Wichita, Kas; Mrs. Ellen Wills and Mrs. Urie Gray of Lebanon; Mrs. Cena Dale of Boone County; George Boyd, Alex Boyd, Thomas Boyd and Frank Boyd of Indianapolis and Mrs. Mary Gorham of Stilesville. His brothers and sisters are all deceased.
He was a member of the First Christian church of this city.
Mr. Boyd had spent most of his life on the farm but retired about eight years ago and since then had made his home in Lebanon.
