Exie Mae Pittman, Travelers Rest
Exie Mae Stamey Pittman, 84, widow of Eli Pittman, died Feb. 20, 2003, at Stroud Nursing Home.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Leonard "Lunar" Stamey and Cora Mae Shelton Stamey Harrison, she was a retired employee of Boomer Henge, and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara "Bobbie" Babb, of Fountain Inn, and Margie Tucker, of Landrum; six sons, Arthur Pittman and Dores "Duck" Pittman, both of Travelers Rest, Luther "Sugar" Pittman, of Landrum, Juan Gary Pittman, of Joanna, and Russell Pittman and Tracy Pittman, both of Travelers Rest; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, at Hopewell Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Billy Epps, Layton Epps and Jerry Babb. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Tucker, Steven Pittman, Danny Pittman, Craig Pittman, Christopher Mashburn and Jerry Babb.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9, tonight, at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home of the son: Russell Pittman, 9040 N. Tigverville Road, Travelers Rest, SC 29690.
