Arthur Preston Pittman, 73, of 9020 N. Tigerville Road, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Elijah and Exie Mae Stamey Pittman. Mr. Pittman was employed at Furman University where he worked in the dining hall and was a member of Glassy Mountain Church of God.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Betty Pittman of the home; daughter, Tina Depue and husband, Nathan; two sisters; five brothers; one grandson, Tyler Pittman.
He was predeceased by a son, David Duran Pittman, and a daughter, Carolyn Pittman.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Highland Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 2 until 3 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
The family will be at the home.
The Howze Mortuary, Travelers Rest, is in charge of arrangements.
