James Alma Boren, 83, of 2815 Jackson, died Sunday at his home of natural causes.

Mr. Boren was born October 26, 1889, in Cannonville, Utah, a son of Manassa and Lucy Ann Nash Boren. On June 20, 1912. he was married to Bessie May Monroe in Vernal, Utah. He had been employed as an aircraft mechanic at Hill Air force Base for 16 years, retiring in 1957.

He had resided in the Ogden area since 1943.

Surviving are his widow of Ogden, the following sons and daughters, Edward Cecil Boren, Milwaukee, Oregon; Arvil Lercy Boren, Perry Boren, Donald Boren, Bart Boren, Arthur Boren, all of Ogden; Laurence Coleman Boren, Spokane, Washington; Mrs. Venna Fullmer, Riverton, Wyoming; Mrs. Elva June Loomis, Ogden; Mrs. Loretta Singleton, Far West; Mrs. Ruby Walker, Astoria, Oregon; Mrs. Varley Weatherman, Kansas City, Kansas; one adopted daughter, Mrs. John (Marvel) Hair, Midway, Utah.

Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Burial in the Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
