Arthur E. Boren, 69, died 6 Oct 2006 after a two and one-half year battle with brain cancer.

He was born 21 Jan 1937 in Vernal, Utah to James Alma and Bessie Monroe Boren. He married Gloria Jones on 22 Sep 1958. They recently celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary.

Art served in the U.S. Army, serving 13 months in Korea.

He worked at DDO for four years and Hill AFB for 26 years, retiring in 1990. His positions at Hill included jet aircraft engine mechanic, inspector and supervisor.

Art owned horses and had participated as a team roper in rodeos during 1960 and 1970. He enjoyed attending Ogden Rapters baseball games and Weber State basketball games. Watching his sons and grandsons in their ball games and other activities was a favorite pastime.

He was preceded in death by his parents:
; brothers, Marvin, Edward, Arvil and Perry; sisters, Velma, Elva and Verlee.

Interment, Evergreen Cemetery.
