Mrs Lila Worsham Wilkie, 79, of 818 Jackson Road, died Tuesday, Sept 4, 1990, at Fletcher Living Center after a period of declining health.
A resident of Henderson County for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Wiliam "Will" Joseph and Jessie Pressley Worsham. She was wife of the Rev Woodrow Wilson Wilkie who died in 1953. She was also a member of Hoopers Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Joyce Calton, Shirley Calton and Jerry Watkins, all of Fletcher, and Lucille Green of Fallston; two sons, James Wilkie of Fletcher and Ken R Wilkie of Hendersonville; three sisters, Lillian Howard of Horseshoe, Mildred Connor of Fletcher, and Helen Garren of Hendersonville; two brothers, the Rev Cecil Worsham of Hendersonville and Boyd Worsham of Anderson, South Carolina, 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday at Hoopers Creek Baptist Church with Revs Lawrence Rhodes and Odell Barnwell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will recieve friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Thursday at Hoopers Creek Baptist Church. At other times the family will be at the home of a son, James Wilkie, of 806 Jackson Road, Fletcher.
