Hendersonville - Mrs. JESSIE PRESSLEY WORSHAM, 83, of Rt. 7 Hendersonville, died Tuesday night in a Henderson County Hospital after a long illness. She was a Native of Buncombe County and had made her home in Henderson County for the past 53 years. She was the widow of WILLIAM J. WORSHAM, who died in November 1961 and a member of Biltmore United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, the Rev. CECIL WORSHAM of Hendersonville and WILLIAM BOYD WORSHAM of Charleston, SC; four daughters, Mrs. LILLIAN HOWARD of Lawndale, Mrs. LILA WILKIE and Mrs. MILDRED CONNOR, both of Fletcher, and Mrs. HELEN GARREN of Hendersonville; a sister, Mrs. VIRGIE BRACKETT of Flat Rock; two half brothers, FOSTER of Jarrett, VA and FRANK PRESSLEY of Suffolk, VA; five half sisters, Mrs. CORA JONES, Mrs. ALICE LAMBERT, Mrs. JULIA JONES and Mrs. LUCILLE PERKINS, all of Jarrett, and Mrs. BEATRICE LYNCH of Emporia, VA; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Thomas Shepherd Memorial Chapel. The Revs. LUTHER CAPELL and LAWRENCE RHODES will officiate. Burial will be in Shepherd Memorial Park. Grandsons will be pallbearers.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Thursday at the funeral home.
