Services were May 14, 1993 at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, for Edward R. Weddle, age 67, Lizton, who died May 10, 1993 at his home. Rev. Carol Fritz officiated. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.

Born March 8, 1926 in West Virginia (Note: His Indiana birth and death certificates both indicate he was born in the small town of Montclair in Union Township, Hendricks County, Indiana.), he was a son of James and Lona Irene (Hayes) Weddle. He attended Lizton Schools. In 1946 he married Rosemary Pritchett at Lizton. She preceded him in death. Mr. Weddle was a mechanic in Lizton, retiring in 1984. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Brownsburg American Legion Post 331. He was a member of the Lizton United Methodist Chuch.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen Weddle at North Salem and Jon Weddle of Brownsburg; a daughter, Rebecca Wilson of Lebanon; a brother, Don Weddle of Indianapolis and four grandchildren.
