The body of James G. Weddle, resident of R. R. 1, Danville, was interred in the Lincoln Memory Gardens, near Zionsville, following services from the Weaver Funeral Home in Danville, Monday. The Rev. Edgar Byram, pastor of the Maplewood Christian Church, of which he was a member, officiated. Masonic services were conducted at the graveside. He died suddenly, early Friday morning, at his home at the age of 43.

A native of Danville, he received his early education in the Lizton School where he graduated from high school and later from the Mercant Marine Academy. He served with the Mercant Marines during World War II and, when discharged, he was employed with the Allison Division of General Motors. He was associated with construction work and was employed as a general superintendent with the Tousley-Bixler Construction Company, Indianapolis.

He was a member of the Pittsboro Masonic Lodge and was an amateur photographer winning many awards.

Survivors include the widow, Suzanne Weddle; a daughter, Mrs. Jamie Morgan, Danville; and two sons, Craig and Don Weddle, both at home; two brothers, Edward R. Weddle, Lizton, and Don Weddle, Indianapolis; his father, James C. Weddle, Jet, Oklahoma and one granddaughter.
