Ida Jane Brush (b.Wisconsin) married Samuel Wood (b.Ohio) were married on February 18, 1880 at Royalton, Waupaca County, WI. Frank Brush is listed as her father. Both Ida Jane and Samuel are listed in the 1880 Federal census for
Waupaca County, WI. An unnamed son is born to them on June 10, 1882.

(OBITUARY)
Mrs. Ida Jane Heacock, 91, widow of the late Ed. C. Heacock, died in San Diego
where she has been a resident since 1917. Mrs. Heacock and her late husband were
pioneer settlers in Alaska, going to the Klondike in 1899. That winter they
drove horses over the trail to Dawson, Y. T., where Mr. Heacock mined on Bonanza
Creek. The couple's two sons, then 14 and 16, now live in San Diego and were
the youngest miners in the Klondike at that time.
In 1905, the family joined the stampede for gold to Fairbanks where Mr. heacock
became mayor two years later. Since, going to California, he was with the
schools of San Diego for many years, making his home at 4018 30th St. Mrs.
Heacock was a member of the San Diego Sourdough Club, a member of the Estrella
Chapter, O.E.S. Besides her two sons, she is survived six grandchildren and
eight great-grandchildren.
