Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 18 for Andrew P. Petersen, 71, Park Rapids, who died Saturday, November 11. Mr. Petersen was born September 2, 1888 at Harlan, Iowa. He was married December 15, 1915 to Susie K. Gerbers at Guthrie Center, Iowa. His main occupation was farming. He is survived by his wife; ten children, Wayne and Russell Petersen and Mrs. Wallace Erickson (Eleanor) all of Park Rapids, Leonard Petersen, Tracy, Mrs. Harris Christensen (Virginia), Marshall, Loren Peterson, Slayton, Virgil Petersen, Pipestone, Mrs. Richard Wyffels (Jane), Redwood Falls, Mrs. Melvin Rutherford (Betty), Pengilly and Mrs. Harold Dull (Clara Mae), San Bernardino, California, 38 grandchildren and two great-grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. Services were held at 2 o'clock at Frazey's Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Johnson Officiating. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery. Pallbearers were Milus Smith, Chester Westrum, Stephen Schwab, Robert Klein, Phil Wilkins and Severt Breden. Relatives attending the services from out-of-town were two brothers of the deceased, Anton Petersen, Atlantic, Iowa and Arthur Petersen, Anita, Iowa.
