Obituary: Jefferson City Post Tribune, Wednesday, February 20, 2002

Mary Jo Tyler, 80, Jefferson City, died Feb. 19, 2002, at her home. She was born Dec. 6, 1921, in Vichy, a daughter of Garrett A. and Vesta Clarice Livingston Berry. She was married June 24, 1943, in Pampa, Texas, to Ace W. Tyler, who died May 29, 1944.

She graduated from Tuscumbia High School in 1939 and from Iberia Junior College in 1941. She worked a variety of jobs in Tuscumbia, Springfield and Kansas City. She worked for the Department of Education until her retirement. She was a member of the Capital City Christian Church. Survivors include: two brothers, Garrett C. Berry, Kirkwood, and Harry J. Berry, Jefferson City.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, Jefferson City. The Rev. Gary Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Friday. Memorials are suggested to Capital City Christian Church of Iberia Cemetery.
