Harry "Jud" Judson Berry, 78, of Jefferson City died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferwson City. He was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Iberia to Garrett A. and Vesta Clarice Livingston Berry. On June 3, 1950, he was married at the Hickory Hill Baptist Church to Marilewann Norfleet, who survives at the home.

Mr. Berry was a 1946 graduate of Tuscumbia High School. He worked for Anchor Milling Company in Tuscumbia as a bookkeeper from 1948 until 1961. He then worked as an analyst for the National Security Agency in Fort Meade, Md., from February 1956 until his retirement in January 1986. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1951 until 1955 and obtained the rank of staff sergeant, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Carrollan Woods Baptist Church in Riverdale, Md.

Also surviving are a daughter and hyer husband, Melissa and Paul Amick of Columbia, Md.; a son and his wife, John Charles and Kathleen Berry of Raleigh, N.C.; six grandchildren, Matthew, Megan, Andrew, Joseph, Michael and Ann.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Burial, with full military honors, was in Spring Garden Cemetery near Eugene. Memorials may be made to th e Miller County Historical Society.
