Carl Lawrence Barrett, 57, Idabel, died at 3 a.m. Wednesday at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana.
Born February 22, 1903 in Sevier County Arkansas, he had resided in this county for 42 years. He was a farmer and stockman and a member of the Baptist church.
Funeral services have been set for 2:30 pm Friday in the Calvary Baptist church, Idabel, with the Rev Milton Carter officiating. Survivors include his widow; one son, Lawrence Barrett, Broken Bow; three brothers, James and Archie Barrett, both of Forest Hill, and Leland Barrett, Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Mrs Gladys Maddus, Blossom, Texas; Mrs Carl Boulton, Idabel, and Mrs Raphel Hendon, Muskogee, and four grandchildren.
Arrangements and burial in Forest Hill cemetery are under the direction of Coffey funeral home.
