Edwin L. Bailey, 76, lifelong Ontonagon resident died Saturday morning at Ontonagon Memorial Hospital after a n illness of 3 months.
Born 11/19/1901 at Ontonagon, son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Lew Bailey he attended Ontonagon schools.
For two years he was employed by the Michigan highway Dept. as a bridge operator.
A veteran of World War 11 he served in a construction battalion. He was a member of the Ontonagon Masonic Lodge and a member and past commander of Lake of the Clouds Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
Surviving is 1 sister, Mrs. Clarice Cane of Ontonagon. Besides is parents, a brother Harold preceded him in death.
